Many communities are stymied by Islamist cultural schemes in concert with the political Left's attacks on citizens who defend American traditions and constitutional principles. From mosque building plans to Muslim settlements in the community, there is confusion about how to discuss culture and how to define community values. Generous religious protections apply for organizations seeking to exercise religious freedoms, including the siting of a religious facility. Islamic expressions of faith are protected by these federal and constitutional laws. However, there is no allowance for misleading municipal planning officials and eluding the structural rules. This guide provides case studies and legal insight into local zoning processes along with suggested roles for residents who wish to engage in oversight. There is also advice for those who will stay engaged after a mosque is sited, defending communities from those Islamist operations that incubate radicalization and design to spread Islamism's dictates into the community. Assisting in the effort, a group called Muslims for Reform has issued a clarion call to Americans willing to confront Islamist campaigns. America has a singular opportunity to avoid the fate of Europe and this book offers the uniquely American free speech opportunities that may provide the foundations upon which self-determination and individual liberty may be protected and advanced.

For the first time, an Islamic expert reveals the root cause of "honor" killing! This is the first book to demonstrate that the root cause of "honor" killing is not culture but the Islamic doctrine of amr bil ma'ruf. In the book a real, qualified Islamic scholar meticulously analyzes how sharia law and the Islamic religious concept of ghayra provide the motive and amr bil ma'ruf provides the detailed script that results in "honor" violence and killing. "This is an outstanding book that provides a clear and concise account of how honor killing flows from Islam's authoritative sources. The book shows how those sources link even sexual relations to the idea of Islamic supremacy and global conquest." -Admiral James A. "Ace" Lyons, Jr., former commander in chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet "With unique erudition, clarity, and courage, Akbari demonstrates, irrefragably, how the ugly phenomenon of Muslim "honor" killing flows naturally from Islam's Sharia-based scheme for enforcing "sexual morality" within the Muslim community." --Dr. Andrew Bostom, MD, MS, Author of Sharia Versus Freedom: The Legacy of Islamic Totalitarianism "I am pleased to see this book published to deal with this vitally important topic." --Abullah Al-Araby, Director, The Pen vs. the Sword Ministry &Author of The Islamization of America "Must reading for understanding the underlying religious basis for 'honor killing' and 'ghayra violence.'" --Dr. Jeff Addicott, Professor of Law & Director, Center for Terrorism Law, St. Mary's University "Educators, child welfare workers, medical professionals, police departments, and emergency responders who touch the lives of Muslim women and children will find this book essential." --Karen Kruse Hall, President, Central Texas Orphan Mission Alliance

Every year, millions of Muslim men from around the world gather by the banks of the Turag River in Tongi, Bangladesh, for a three-day celebration of Islam. The annual event, known as Bishwa Ijtema (Bengali for "world gathering), is organized and hosted by a group known as Tablighi Jama'at (Proselytizing Group). Although the group is little-known outside the Muslim community, it has one of the largest followings in the world. In 2008, it was estimated that some two to three million people attended this celebration of Islam, and in 2010, local police estimated the number had reached five million. Tablighi Jama'at is a Muslim missionary and revival movement that is as enigmatic as it is unique. Combining a strict, traditional approach to orthodox religious practice with loose, decentralized governance over those who follow it, the group is shrouded in secrecy. This makes Tablighi Jama'at highly controversial, and the study of its ideology and practices, as well as the web of its potential role in the world of jihad, difficult to unravel. In the years since its founding in the mid-1920s, Tablighi Jama'at has become the largest group of religious missionaries in the world, with a presence in some 80 countries from Bangladesh to the United States. Because there is no formal census of its members, who join and leave the group at will, its numbers are loosely estimated to be anywhere from 12 to 80 million followers. Its central mission is to send its emissaries around the world to proselytize to non-observant Muslims and help them return to the more orthodox traditions of Islam. They avoid contact with non-Muslims whenever possible. Yet despite its size, its global reach, its lack of strict, top-down controls on its millions of followers and the scope of its activities is a closely held (and for the most part, well-kept) secret. The organization reveals only the bare bones of its philosophy and its mission to the public. Its message is contradictory, at least from a Western perspective, and this has formed the basis for considerable speculation, not to mention a widely held suspicion about its possible connections to terrorism. The group professes to follow strict Muslim doctrine, but to shun violence. Tablighis claim to have no formal organization, no paid staff, no official membership, no property except that which is gifted to them, and sustain their global networks of followers through person-to-person contact. Whether they have ties to terrorism, directly or indirectly, is a topic of ongoing discussion. The indicators are ambiguous at best. Is this a coincidence or is it by design? Does it signify a deeper, darker mission, or are any connections to terrorist activity simply coincidental? The secrecy underlying Tablighi Jama'at's activities make these questions difficult to answer. This monograph will try to clarify the ideology and activities surrounding this mysterious and powerful group.

“After four years of hiding my faith from my family, I knew that it was time. I wrote with shaky hands, ‘Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I refuse to deny him….’ There was no turning back now. I had to get out of that house if I wanted to live. Was this worth risking everything for? Yes.” Rifqa Bary grew up in a devout Muslim home, obediently following her parents’ orders to practice the rituals of Islam. But God was calling her to freedom and love. He was calling her to true faith. He was calling her to give up everything. Leaving Islam for Christianity cost her more than she imagined but gave more than she could have dreamed. Hiding in the Light is the story of Rifqa’s remarkable spiritual journey from Islam to Christianity. It is also the untold story of how she ran from her father’s threats to find refuge with strangers in Florida, only to face a controversial court case that reached national headlines. Most of all, it is the story of a young girl who made life-changing sacrifices to follow Jesus—and who inspires us to do the same.
